What does the #7 stand for on the bottom of my BABYBJÖRN plastic products?

The number on the underside of many BABYBJÖRN plastics tells you which materials have been used to make it. Plastics are divided into seven different classes (for recycling), with Classes 1-6 standing for certain specific plastics. Class 7, however, refers to “other plastics”, meaning that this product is made from plastics other than those specified in Classes 1 to 6.

Our products belong to Class 7. They are always BPA-free and contain only food-safe and permitted plastics.
